Millicent Seopati, the dynamic Mangaung District Manager for the USAID ACCELERATE 2 Project, brings over 18 years of expertise in public health and NGO management. Driven by a passion for strengthening healthcare systems, Millicent is deeply committed to making a lasting impact on the communities she serves. Her career began with the Department of Health, where she gained invaluable insights that laid the foundation for her previous role as District Manager for THINK’s TB-LON Programme in KwaZulu-Natal.
Millicent’s strong leadership and human-centered management style have been pivotal to her success, and she is known for her collaborative, people-oriented approach to leadership. She fosters human connection through informal coffee meetings, checking in on her team’s well-being, and gathering insights on project implementation. This supportive environment has motivated her team toward project success.
One of Millicent’s notable achievements at USAID ACCELERATE 2 has been successfully staffing the Project in Mangaung and achieving early implementation pillars and foundation. By recruiting individuals with solid qualifications and work ethics, she ensured that 75% of her team was in place by April 2024, allowing for a head start in project execution.
As the Project progresses, Millicent remains focused on meeting district goals and enhancing health outcomes. She is dedicated to driving positive change in the fight against TB and other public health challenges with upcoming campaigns and community outreach efforts.
