Video Observed Therapy (VOT) has been promoted by the WHO as a preferred treatment support tool and is currently being implemented in THINK Clinical Trials with great success. There is, however, no current scientific data available on implementing this intervention in the South African public health context. THINK completed research that captures the feasibility and acceptability of VOT amongst health care providers and patients through interviews and focus group discussions. The results from this study will offer evidence-based guidance for the uptake of VOT in other clinical trials as well as large-scale programmatic settings.
