What is happening?
THINK is in the Metaverse! We have piloted an NFT fundraising project in December 2022 by launching our first digital wearable on Decentraland, an online meeting platform in the Metaverse.

We drive innovative and emerging technologies to improve public health. By purchasing a digital THINK-hoodie for your avatar in a virtual world, you can support our work to improve the health of people affected by TB and HIV.
Since 2012, THINK has reached more than half a million people with our research and health systems strengthening programmes. This new fundraising project will allow our global supporters to help extend our work and impact to do even better for the most vulnerable.
Non-profit organizations like THINK are seeing a generational shift in how people engage with the causes they support. This engagement is increasingly led by tech innovations like the Metaverse, NFTs and crypto. The Metaverse provides THINK with a unique opportunity to invite contributions and share the impact of our work to alleviate suffering from diseases like TB.
What is the Metaverse and Decentraland?
Metaverse blends the real with the virtual and is a network of 3D online worlds focused on social connection. A place where you and other people have an Avatar, and you interact with each other through your avatars. It is a shared virtual space that is interactive and immersive.
Decentraland is an online platform that seeks to incentivize a global network of users to operate a shared virtual world. Decentraland users can buy and sell digital real estate while exploring, interacting and playing games within this virtual world. Over time, the platform has evolved to implement interactive apps, in-world payments and peer-to-peer communication for users.
A Decentraland Avatar is a customizable character representing you inside the virtual world. Essentially, owning an Avatar is like registering a username/account on any given website. Ownership of each registered Avatar username is represented by an NFT and recorded on the blockchain.
